Podcasts
Sometimes these are recordings of radio broadcasts, but mostly they're done by people with a computer & a microphone. Though I don't necessarily agree with everying these podcasters say, it is important to be familiar with their points of view.-
Dr. Mark Goodacre's 5-15 minute podcast takes on various topics of interest to students of the New Testament. Though I may not endorse everything he says, this is one of my favorite podcasts. Also available on iTunes.

Mike Duncan's loves Roman history. He narrates Roman history in short snippets, beginning with Rome's founding and ending with Rome's fall. He also has stand-alone episodes on aspects of Roman life. Start with episodes 87-89, the start with episode 1.

Dan Carlin loves history. He always has an interesting take in historical events. Episodes 1, 12, 14, and 20-23 are most relevant to biblical studies. I'd start there.

This is an excellent 3 minute video that introduces key themes to the book of (Luke-)Acts. It is part of an excellent video series that relates to biblical studies. Thanks to Ben Skinner for bringing this to my attention.

Originally publised in April 1998, this program takes a left-of center position on the idea of "what really happened" in the first centuries A.D. It contains a lot of helpful videos and text, and is a great lead-in to further discussion (or correction).

I have not gone through the whole site, but the first two categories, ("apocalypticism" & "the book of revelation"), are very helpful introductions to the material.

Hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this is an excellent source of maps of the ancient world.

This site uses Google Earth to show every location that is mentioned in the Bible.

Bible.org has both satellite and hand-drawn maps that are relevant to biblical studies. These are my favorite maps.
